This Sunset supplement recipe is an easy "special" breakfast to make on short notice. Add a scoop of frozen yogurt, and it also doubles as dessert.

1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons quick cooking tapioca
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup water
4 cups golden delicious apples - peeled and sliced
1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup rolled oats
3 tablespoons sugar

For The Apple Filling

Mix sugar, tapioca and cinnamon. Add lemon juice and water; stir to mix. Let stand for at least 15 minutes to soften; stir several times. Mix in apples. Bake in 375 degree oven for 15 minutes.

For The Oat Crunch

Rub together, until crumbly, butter, flower, oats, and sugar. Press into lumps onto fruit mixture. Bake until the oat topping is well-browned 35-40 minutes.
