This is an easy dessert, great for winter nights. If you don't like the crisp so saucy, feel free to play around with the amount of flour in the fruit mixture. Also, depending on the sweetness of the fruit, I usually don't add the full 3/4 cup of sugar.

5 cups apple slices
1 cup cranberries
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup pecans - chopped

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 12x 8 inch baking dish. In a large bowl, combine apples, cranberries, sugar flour, and cinnamon. Toss to coat and spoon into greased baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine rolled oats, brown sugar, and flour. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in pecans. Sprinkle topping over fruit.

Bake until topping is golden brown and apples are tender (30 to 40 minutes).
