2 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/4 cups plain yogurt
1 cup cheddar cheese - shredded
1/4 cup fresh chives - chopped
Heat oven to 450F. Grease cookie sheets. In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; blend well. Using pastry blender or fork, cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add yogurt, cheese, and chives; stir just until moistened. Drop dough by generous tablespoons onto greased cookie sheets.Bake at 450F for 9 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Serve warm.
